Trip Schedule:

6:30AM The adventure begins in the McDonald's parking lot.

6:35AM Load the car for a 35 minute drive to Boyer Park Marina

7:10AM Use the restrooms and register at the fish check station.

To register participants need to know the last 4 digits of their social security number, mailing address, and have their fishing license if 15 or older

7:25AM Board boat, review safety equipment, procedures, and

behavior expectations for boating and fishing

7:30AM Morning prayer and Psalm reading

7:35AM Throw the lines and head for the river

7:40AM GO FISH!

Our goal is to catch the Northern Pikeminnow,

but with over 24 species of fish in the Snake River

there is always a surprise at the end of the line.

We provide each participant a rod and reel for the day,

plus all the tackle and bait necessary to be successful.

While we cannot guarantee everyone will catch a fish,

every effort will be made to see that every youth on

the boat gets to land a fish.

9:30AM Mid-Morning prayer and Gospel reading

During the trip youth will have the opportunity to participate in times of prayer, scripture reading, silence, and discussions about life and faith. It is amazing how students open up when engaged in shared activities.

9:40AM GO FISH!

Depending on where the fish are biting we may move the boat many times during the trip in search of fish...and to use the restroom. There are 3 restrooms furnished by the US Army Corps of Engineers and readily accessible by boat along the river; Boyer Park, Illia Landing, and Lambi Creek.

12:00PM Midday prayer, devotional reading, lunch

Students are encouraged to drink plenty of water and snack throughout the trip. At noon we will break for lunch on the river. Students will be encouraged to hydrate, eat, plus take time to reflect on the trip as a group.

12:15PM GO FISH!

Last chance to catch that money fish!

1:30PM Hoist the anchor and return to port.

Check station to turn in Northern Pikeminnow at Boyer Park closes at 2PM. There is a convenience store at the marina where folks can purchase ice cream, candy, chips, and drinks after a hard day of fishing.

3:00PM Return to South Grand McDonald's for pick-up.
